QUEEN KA‘AHUMANU CENTER ANNOUNCES BOYS DAY CELEBRATION

Queen Ka’ahumanu Center will celebrate Kodomo-no-hi or Boys Day on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00noon.

Holokai Club will be featuring carp fish crafts, which symbolize strength and success, and the first 250 keiki will receive blue balloons.  The Boys Day crafts event will be in conjunction with the Police Week Kickoff educational event and Tap 2016 – Tap into Child Safety with Judy’s Gang.

“Boys Day continues to be a very popular annual tradition at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center”, says Toni Rojas, Marketing Director. “Bring your entire family down for fun filled activities”.

This holiday was originally brought to the islands by Japanese immigrants.  Hawaii adopted this special occasion and welcomes all ethnicities to join in this special celebration in respect of children’s personalities and their happiness.
