QUEEN KA’AHUMANU CENTER ANNOUNCES “LET’S GET BACK TO SCHOOL TOGETHER”

a weekend of family festivities scheduled for Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31, 2016.

Project Backpack-Equipped to Learn, will be accepting school supplies and monetary donations from Friday, July

29 5:00pm, through Sunday, July 31, 5:00pm. Spearheaded by The Kiwanis Club of the Valley Isle, the goal is to

provide students with a new backpack and supplies needed specifically for their grade and school. “We are so

fortunate to have great organizations like the Kiwani’s Club of the Valley Isle to spearhead this drive. They are

committed to ensuring that students will be well equipped for learning”, says Toni Rojas, Marketing Director.

Guests may sponsor a child by providing a backpack with all the supplies, provide individual items, make a cash

donation or provide a gift card to purchase supplies.

On Saturday, July 30 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, family entertainment will include a back-to- school fashion show

produced by Uncle Iolani Chun of Na Hawai’iki Productions, keiki crafts by Aunty Ruth, and great door prizes.

Master of Ceremonies is Maui’s very own Noah Splajt, Mister Teen USA 2016. Jamba Juice discount coupons will

be distributed to the first 200 guests.
