Kahului, HI (June 15, 2018) – Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center (QKC) announces the inaugural QKC Cares Kickoff event on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10am to 1pm, and invites all Maui County non-profit organizations, State of Hawai’i and County of Maui agencies to participate.
QKC Cares is Queen Ka’ahumanu Center’s community initiative that brings together the mall’s existing programs, such as our numerous charitable events, and new community relations efforts aimed at empowering patrons, tenants and employees. The shopping center has been an extension of home for generations of Maui families as a place of enjoyment or employment. This new initiative aims to support our community relationships by increasing public awareness of the mall’s philanthropic efforts as well as enhancing a sense of `ohana among those who visit and work at the mall.
As part of the celebratory activities, non-profit organizations are invited to outreach and educate the community on their services. Booth applications are now available and due by June 27, 2018. Space is limited and based on availability.
The family event will consist of high energy entertainment, interactive keiki activities, fun and educational community booths, and great door prizes. Schedule and line up will be announced in the near future.
“QKC Cares is our way of expressing our heart to our community”, says Toni Rojas, Marketing Director. “All booth registration fees will be combined and donated to one lucky non-profit organization on the day of the event”, says Rojas.
